Nuclear Tests

The Chinese government has long refused to recognize officially a link between Nuclear tests in Lop Nor, East Turkistan (Xinjiang-Uyghur autonomous region) and diseases afflicting residents who live close to the testing sites.


Since 1964,they had secretly carried out more than 46 nuclear tests ,this has caused a serious public health issue and has killed approx 750,000 people, according to China's classified documents.


During these tests, they the tested equivalent of 10 times more explosive power than in the Soviet Union, about 4 million tons. The affected radiation area is 136 times of Tokyo City,
This has resulted in large quantities of radioactive materials being released into the atmosphere, caused the acute death of 190,000 civilians and effected 1,480,000 innocent people. Surrounding residents are still suffering the effects of radiation-related ailments.


When processing nuclear tests, The Chinese government never informed people in those areas or supplied any possible protection. Victims are mostly Uyghur, within who live 100kilometers from the fields of nuclear test zone.


Since 60's, people who ate contaminated foods contract skin diseases and strange diseases of unknown origins, and so many deformed new-born infants without normal organs.


They’ve been treated like mice in the laboratory. Chinese government not only despises people, but also have disregard for human's lives. They have never tried repairing the damage that has been caused.
Any people with a sense of decency will look down upon such conduct.


According to the health status evaluation, from 70's, the incidence of cancer has increased sharply. The average incidence of cancer in Uyghur people was 30% higher than others in the whole country.


While our people are dying of either esophagus cancer or lung cancer, we have wondered why. The place we've lived for centuries since our forefathers, a place well-known as longevity has recently become full-scale cancer distribution region.


Residents have long complained of health problems, but it's never been reported or answered.
Nuclear weapon tests has taken millions of Uyghur people's lives, and it is this same brutal action had brought China into the "Nuclear Club" and left the world in a surprise.


For what reasons have we sacrificed our lives to this Monster?
Does it bring better environment or wealth to our motherland?
It is a sad fact that we gain nothing but a world full of pain.
